General notes
The first electric trams were introduced to the town in 1901. However, their biggest advocate, Henry Mozley retired in 1930. His successor, Charles Stafford quickly set about replacing them with buses. By 1935 Burnley's tram network was no more. Tramcar no. 9 shows destination Rosegrove, a route which opened in 1903 and was one of the first 24 cars purchased in 1901 from G.F. Milnes & Co. Also to be seen are various public houses viz The Swan, The Old Red Lion, and a group of police officers.
