Electric Tram in Burnley depot yard ca. 1910
Burnley
The first electric trams were introduced to the town in 1901. However, their biggest advocate, Henry Mosley retired in 1930. His successor, Charles Stafford despised trams and quickly set about replacing them with buses. By 1935 Burnley's tram network was no more.
