General notes
A Dennis F12 pump escape (left) HCB-Angus bodied Bedford TK (middle) and a Land Rover L4P in the garage at the old Burnley fire station on Manchester Road. The Dennis was nicknamed 'Tinkerbell'.
The fire station was built on this site c1854 and had many renovations made to it over the next century in order to accommodate the advances in technology. In the mid-1960's it was decided that a new facility was required and the fire service relocated to a new station on Belvedere Road.
