General notes
In 1869 a decision was made to erect this chapel on Gannow Lane, in order to service an ever growing local populace. It opened seven months after construction work had begun, in May 1870. A number of alterations and additions in 1901 and 1931 and the church was redecorated in 1961.
On the 7th September 1982 a major fire led to severe damage to the roof and parts of the interior. The congregation amalgamated with Lowerhouse, to become Greenbrook. The lower part of the chapel remains and it is now used as a warehouse.
