Opened in 1892 it was used as a chapel until 1905 when it was superseded by the church on Manchester Road. It was extended in 1916 and used as a Sunday school until the 1970's when it was taken over by Woodfield Printing Company. It remained vacant from 1981 and was finally demolished in 1987.
