General notes

The foundation stone for Fulledge chapel was laid in 1859. However, a century later the membership of the church was down to 80 and Sunday attendances were just 20 strong. Therefore, the decision was made to close the chapel.

On the evening of the 17th September 1985 the chapel was gutted by fire. It remained as just a shell (pictured here) until it was demolished shortly after this photograph was taken in 1992.
