Four young cricketers from Burnley Cricket Club. L-R standing Edwin Moore, William Richmond, T. (?) Roberts, W. Rawlinson in front. William Richmond was known as a hard hitter and good wicket keeper, W. Rawlinson excelled at fielding. Edwin Moore excelled at the annual Athletics festivals, winning so many events in 1867 a mock heroic poem in his honour appeared in the Burnley newspaper. He was the son of a cotton manufacturer and married the daughter of the Keirby brewery family.
