General notes
Photograph shows the path of the Bacup Branch of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Line looking towards Bacup. The building on the right of the image is possibly Ilex Mill with Albion Mill next to it. On the left of the image the round gasometer can be seen in the distance next to the tall building of Hall Carr Mill. The line was closed in 1966 although a section from Rawtenstall to Bury was preserved as the East Lancashire Railway. This part of the line was later developed to become Bocholt Way.
