Rosie Bannister Salvationist. One of the characters featured in Ken Spencer's "A Galaxy of Burnley Characters", Rosie had a troubled early life, took to drink and crime until she converted to the Salvation Army, when she died in 1937, she had served them for 50 years, telling her story at meetings and was a greatly respected woman. In 1892 she married Eastwood Eastwood, a brewer of herbal and botanical drinks, a widower and early supporter of Burnley F.C.
