Group photograph of the local volunteers who built the Parish Hall.
These men were all part of the Roman Catholic community, mostly of Irish descent, who lived in Burn Naze and worked for was to became ICI.
We have so far identified three. George Thornton, sixth from the left on the middle row.
His brother Thomas Thornton, (sometimes Owen Thomas), fifth from the left on the front row and Canon Bamber seated seventh from the left on the front row, wearing a clerical collar.
Canon Bamber is believed to have instigated the building and the modern parish room at the church is known as the 'Bamber Room'
