Blacko Tower in the snow
Blacko
Blacko (or Stansfield) Tower was built in 1890 by Jonathan Stansfield, a local grocer. He had hoped to be able to see over into Ribblesdale, but the tower isn't tall enough. It is grade II listed. There is no public access to the tower. The photograph was taken from the A682 just north of the Greystone Lodge.
