General notes
On the back of the photograph reads as follows.
House named Towneley Villas chiselled over doorway. Number 33 Brooklands Road, Burnley. We moved there in 1918 when I was 5 years old. It had a coach house, stable and cottage for the coachman, but none of these were used only as playgrounds for we children. A large garden with many paths which I rode round on my tricycle. When the mill was fading my dad was fortunate enough to sell the house to Saint Stephens church as a Vicarage and we moved to Rock Lane.
