This photograph was taken in September 1965.

Sagar House was built during 1965-66 as a headquarters building for the textile firm of Carrington and Dewhurst Ltd and takes its name from Ibzan Sagar, an early manager of the firm. The building was subsequently owned by Scottish & Newcastle, by BP, and finally, acted as the HQ for Pontins. It became vacant in February 2008 and in 2010 was demolished and replaced with housing.
