General notes

William Sagar was an early convert to Methodism, after hearing John Wesley preach. He had promised to build a chapel on his land and in 1797 erected a barn which incorporated a chapel above, which is now Grade II listed. The chapel has seating for 72 worshippers, was refurbished between 2000 and 2004 and is still used for services.
