The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Hughes, Drumcondra, Dublin, Ireland. Although some the message obscured by a business stamp, he message reads: "Thanks for letter....are leaving on Sunday morning, 8.30 to get the 2 o'clock boat & will be home about 5.30. Will see you on Sun. 8th if I possibly can. L.Hughes"

The card bears has the original stamp and bears the postmark: St.Annes-on-Sea, Lancs, Aug.29, 12.
