Photograph depicts the building on the corner of David Street and Gisburn Road, Barrowford. The building houses F. Birtwell & Son, joiners, listed in Barrett's Directory of Burnley and District for 1947. Next to this is a working men's club, both listed at 27 David Street. It was situated on the 3rd floor above the joiners and first listed as such on 1st January 1903. The street was originally called John Street and then Jonathan Street. Picture probably taken in 1950s-1960s. This area has now been demolished.
