General notes

Marks the place where the body of a lad was found, killed by the storm in the crossing from Lancashire to Yorkshire. Stanbury would not bury him, though he was found on their moor and Lancashire would not bury him even though he was from Lancashire. So Trawden, after the dispute had gone on, buried the lad at the expense of the parish and thereafter claimed a goodly acreage of moor which had brought him to his death.
