Andy Bowes, local studies champion from Clitheroe Library has produced a short film called 'Clitheroe Now and Then...'

This short film shows images of today's Clitheroe with pictures of its past. You will see a queue of traffic in Clitheroe's Market Place fade into a sepia image of people walking and horses pulling carts. Parson Lane turns into a celebration for King George V's coronation and a First World War tank appears on the residential street of Waddington Road.

These images have been taken from the Clitheroe Local Studies collection available at Clitheroe Library and Andy's own. The music is 'Aria' from JS Bach's Goldberg Variations, a recording by Kimiko Ishizaka, part of the public domain 'Open Goldberg Variations' project.
