General notes
Mrs McAvoy describes net braiding for the fishing vessels and working in an aircraft factory at Blackpool during the Second World War. She recalls being on a 'pleasure trip' with her father. Pleasure trips are the name given to working fishing trips often when children or family members accompanied them. Mrs McAvoy remembers helping her father and the crew and remembers the conditions onboard.
