Image features workers from W and J Sagar Ltd. of Ballgrove Leather Works, Colne, Lancs. The company ceased trading in 1969.

In 1947 the company was a Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair, as Manufacturers of High Grade Leathers, including Calf, Chromed Clothing Sheep, E.I. Calf, Finished Basils, Crust and Coloured Skivers, Chamois. Roller Skins including Persian and Goat. Glue and Gelatine. Information from the Graces Guide.

The site has since been landscaped, where Ball Grove Park is now a public park and Local Nature Reserve on the eastern edge of Colne in Lancashire. Covering about 3.9 hectares, it is part of a larger green space managed by Trawden Forest Parish Council and has been awarded Green Flag status for its quality and management.
