General notes
Kitchen at Hill Top. This photograph was taken after the house had been abandoned prior to demolition in the 1930s. The room has a typical iron fire range with oven and boiler, which would usually have been kept sparklingly clean. Note the stone sink and mangle: often the family live, cooked, ate and did the washing just in one room.
