Born Burnley Son of Henry Eastwood. A solicitor married Miss Russel and resided at Turf Moor Burnley, later moving to Brunshaw. He had a daughter with his first wife. His second wife Ann had no children. Moved to Whitewell became noted as agent of the Rook stud which included Kettledrum winner of the Derby.
Died aged 70 and interred in the catholic chapel at Thorneyholme.
