Wing Commander Titherington, S/N 11103, RAF was the son of James and Margaret Titherington, Burnley, Lancashire; husband of Florence Titherington, Burnley. He was promoted to Wing Commander on 20th September 1940, died on 20th October 1946, age 49. The photograph shows his funeral cortege in Botley. He was buried in Botley Cemetery in Oxfordshire
