The poster is a compilation of individual profile photographs of the Burnley FC Team of that season. Their names and the name of their trainer are recorded with the photographs. Top five, left to right are: Halley, Bamford, Dawson, Taylor and Watson, middle pair are: Boyle (Capt.) and Freeman, Bottom five left to right are: Nesbit, Lindley, Edwards (trainer), Hodgson, and Mosscrop.
In the 1913–14 season, Burnley Football Club won their first and only FA Cup, defeating Liverpool 1–0 in the final with a goal from Bert Freeman. This victory was a significant achievement, as they became the first club to defeat five top-tier teams in one FA Cup campaign. The team's success in this season was a high point in their early history, coming after they had been promoted to the top flight in the 1912–13 season.
