This is one of three photographs on card EBU126/52, information from one recorded on Red Rose states:
Edwin Moore excelled at the annual Athletics festivals, winning so many events in 1867 a mock heroic poem in his honour appeared in the Burnley newspaper. He was the son of a cotton manufacturer and married the daughter of the Keirby brewery family.
On the back of the library card is written the following details:
William Richmond famously Big Hitter BE 18.08.34 (presumably 1834)
Edwin Moore son of John, Cotton Mfr. M. Elizabeth Ann Keirby daughter of brewing family
