An earlier library picture EBU W121/4 states: 'Tommy, who was born Tommy Crosedale in 1916, went on to fight more than 200 paid bouts. When he hung up his gloves after the Second World War he became a match maker, running a booth on one of Blackpool's piers. He was then offered a role to teach boxing at a private college in Halifax. Whilst there, Tommy continued to manage a number of high profile boxers, including Mickey Van and Pat Barrat. Tommy died in 2005 aged 87.'
