Extwistle Mill at Extwistle was a small water-powered mill with 100 looms, that eventually converted to steam. The mill was one of the first water powered mills in Burnley. In 1847 William Greenwood who kept the Roggerham Gate Inn also owned Extwistle Mill, which was destroyed by fire in about 1870.
