George Graham, Ironfounder of Temperance Cottage, Burnley, husband of Sarah Graham nee Whitaker. Born in Patron, Cumberland about 1972, died 18/06/1875 and buried in Burnley Cemetery. The date of Mr Graham's arrival in Burnley is unknows but census information shows that his eldest child was born around 1817 not in Lancashire, his second child was baptised in Burnley in April 1819.

In 'The History of Burnley' Bennett refers to the firm of Graham and Shepard which probably refers to George Graham's eldest son Joseph (1821-1886) - see obituary notices of Burnley Express 02/010/1886, and for George Francis Graham 19/09/1903. A tea service was given to George Graham by his workforce upon his retirement.
