Harry Cunliffe gunner No. 1905 Royal Field Artillery killed in action 4th Feb 1917. He is listed on Thiepval Memorial to the missing.

From the Burnley Express newspaper dated 28th February 1917 - Burnley Gunner Killed. One of Three Soldier Brothers.

Gunner Harry Cunliffe, one of the three soldier sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Cunliffe, of 26, Rossendale Road, Burnley, is officially reported to have been killed in action on the 4th inst. Twenty years of age, he was formerly a weaver at Messrs. Spencer’s Imperial Mill, Rosegrove. He volunteered for the army two years ago, and was drafted to France at Christmas, 1915. In an engagement at Mametz Wood last July, he was wounded by shrapnel, and was afterwards treated in a hospital at Glasgow. After a short home leave, he returned to the Front last November. The two other brothers serving are Gunner R. Cunliffe, R.G.A., and Sapper R. H. Cunliffe, Royal Engineers.
