General notes
A low-class beer house that was situated down 'Wapping' on No. 4 Cannon Street. It closed in 1902. The inns and taverns in Wapping were notorious for badger-baiting and reports from the time indicate that cruel 'sport' went on in the Black Dog as well as cockfights (Nadin, J. 2007).
