General notes
Pictured near Mytton Church on its first trial. The Habergham bus was operated by the Burnley Motor Pleasure Company Limited of Guy Street. A 1906 Critchley and Norris bus with a Crossley 40 hp engine, built at Bamber Bridge. Bodywork by John Knape of Bank Top Garage and Motor Works. It was registered in 1906, number plate CW 182, in the name of F. Groome, motor engineers of Whalley who presumably supplied it to the Burnley Motor Pleasure Company. A second vehicle was registered a few days later number plate CW 190. It could carry 40 passengers, was capable of 15 mph and fitted with garden seats inside and out. Scanned from a glass slide.
