Steam engines at Bank Hall (1867-1971)
This view shows the massive 38' high pressure cylinder with drop inlet and Corliss exhaust valves. The trunk crosshead guide can be seen behind the gentleman. In the left foreground a 'Feedwell' pressure lubricator is worked by an extension of the valvegear pushrod.
