Steam engines at Bank Hall, (1867-1971)
This photograph shows the belt driven Whitehead type governor, the spokes of the 18' diameter winding drum, three eccentrics driving the valve gear each with a grease lubricator. The cap of the one of the the crankshaft main bearing is seen to the left, securely held by eight large nuts on four threaded studs.
