General notes
This information is attached to back of the mounted image.

Steam engines at Bank Hall (1867-1971).
This is the view of the left hand (high pressure) side of the engine showing the flywheel and rope drive in the background. This photograph was taken after breaking had commenced and some parts, most notably the connecting rod, bedplate securing nuts and lubricators have already been cut off. However the massive trunk guide for the crosshead is clearly visible, as is the 'banjo' centrifugal lubricator for the crank pin bearing. The cylindrical main bearing oil jar can be discerned behind the arch of the bed. The top of the governor is also visible.
