Article in an unidentified newspaper states that "During the War this little girl stood in the streets of Burnley and raised for various War Charities upwards of £3,000. She greatly interested herslef in St. Dunstan's Hostel, and has forwarded £625 3s 9d (due to marks the amount is unclear on the article). She is now making a special effort to bring her St. Dunstan's Fund total to £1,000. The proceeds from the sale of these cards (?) go to that effirt. "DINNA FORGET" THE LADS WHO WERE "BLINDED FOR YOU."
