The original Bostock came to Burnley from Nailstone, Leicestershire, see Census 1881, ED 49, P.6. (Ightenhill).
The family came to Long Syke in Habergham Eaves between c.1890 - 1893. Walter Bostock, had 3 daughters. Nora married K Stanley Earnshaw of Cliviger. As a widow, she lived at Long Syke bungalow, built c. 1987 and died c. 2002.

it was common in Burnley for farms to be informally called after their owners, likewise with cotton mills.
