General notes
The illustration is of the foreman gardeners cottage and adjoining building, which it was proposed to demolish to provide a further approach to the lawn at the rear of the Hall. The Borough Engineer had been instructed to prepare a scheme for the erection of three cottages on a site in the vicinity to replace these buildings.

User feedback: 'The building was demolished due to 'it falling down' - supports can be seen to the right. Reputedly some stones were used for the cottages as described but not on the same site. They were built just to the right. The footprint of the old building was used for the 'new' shop and offices, toilets, lecture theatre in 2002.' 21/01/2026.
