Kathryn Sage, wearing her first tutu, made for her by her nana, Mrs Heap and photographed with her mother, Mrs Joyce Sage (nee Heap), who was the Principal of the Joyce Heap School of Dancing, Burnley and who taught ballet at Sunny Bank School from 1950.
Kathryn still has this tutu which she proudly shows to the pupils of her classical ballet school in Denmark.
