General notes
Architects drawing of the Town Hall.

Burnley Town Hall is a Victorian architectural landmark and is a Grade II listed building. It was officially opened 27th October 1888, by the Mayor, Alderman George Sutcliffe, and was designed by Henry Holtom and George Arthur Fox from Dewsbury in a Renaissance style. Before the current building, Burnley council meetings were held in various locations, including the old fire station and a public hall. The Town Hall served as the headquarters for Burnley County Borough and remains the local seat of government.
