Angel Inn would have Red Lion Hotel on the right. The hollowfare would lead to Market Street. Very early 20th Century the residents of Dent Square (where the Library car park is now) could send their children up to the back door a get a jug of ale for their Sunday dinner. The upstairs of the Angel Inn held Roman Catholic Masses and the Priest was brought from Burnley
