General notes
A row of 18th Century cottages situated at Green Haworth, between Red Walls and Haslingden Old Road, in a narrow valley. They are very remote, and are typical of the moorland homes of that district of Oswaldtwistle. An interesting stone with carved emblems was found not far from here and brought to the end right cottage and remains a puzzle to it's meaning and use. On Haslingden Old Road, near by the lane to Benjamin Row, was an old tenement, known as Tottering Temple, long since demolished. Benjamin Row can be reached by walking from Haslingden Old Road , or Broadfield Road, a continuation of Fielding Lane.
