The Nelson Co: operative & Industrial Society Ltd Central Fashion Emporium.
In 1960 it became part of the CRS (Co-operative Retail service)
In 1969 a department store, named Quality House was opened in the Arndale Centre, on this site.
It was not a long term success, and it closed on 6th June 1998, ending the Co-op's representation in Nelson.
