General notes
The Union Bank of Manchester Buildings were built in 1913, replacing former premises at 21 Manchester Road. In 1919 it became affiliated to Barclays Bank and fully Incorporated in 1940. When Barclays left the building it was taken over by Burnley Building Society and then Santander.

The man sat on the bench is 'Lenny' a local character.
