Surveyor/architect. Lived at 60 Manchester Road and worked for Henry W. Bell who's office was in Bank Street. He was born in Accrington and his father was a blacksmith. When he was about 30 he married Miss Betsy Kenyon daughter of Mr Richard Kenyon grocer and farmer. He died on the 21st March 1920 aged 82 and his remains rest in the Kenyon vault at St James' churchyard
