"Several buildings shown.... the square at Little Marsden, Chapel House, Chapel House Farm, Little Ethersall; and near the top of Lomeshaye the top storey of the three-storied weavers' cottages built by William Holt can be seen. In William Holt's day they were known as Miller's New Row. These cottages, the square at Little Marsden and Chapel House Farm have now been demolished. One method of spotting really old buildings on aerial photographs is by the speckled grey texture of the old stone-flagged roofs" J. Bentley This Was Nelson. 1973. p11
