Looking north from Grove Crescent. Across the road used to be the Joiners Arms and Windmill Inn. The name of the Windmill is of some interest because it is very likely taken from the wind driven corn mill which stood behind the Brown Cow. the mill known as the Speedwell Windmill was still operating as a corn mill in 1881. Do not publish. Appears to be a book illustration.
