As noted in ECL20140107003 / 269553 the source of the River Hodder is a small spring on Lamb Hill Fell around 9 kilometres/5 miles north-north-west of Slaidburn. The precise location of the photograph is not labelled on the original plate, but is on the road between Slaidburn, towards Kennibus and Cross of Greet Bridge. It is highly likely to be between Slaidburn and Harkers near Wood House Gate.
