General notes

The Michelin works in Burnley were located on the Heasandford Industrial Estate. The plant was built in 1959 to create truck tyres, primarily for the American market. However, a downturn in the market in 2001 led to the closure of the factory in 2002 with the loss of over 450 jobs. The plant remained intact after closure, and is now part of the Lancashire Digital Technology Centre and the Burnley Bridge Business Park.
