Ling Gill like Thorns Gill is a steep-sided, tree lined ravine. It is some two miles east of Ribblehead and starts at Nether Lodge on Swinesett Hill where Cam Beck rises. The Pennine Way joins its eastern stretch where it crosses Ling Gill Bridge. It is a beautiful, unchanged area of caves and shake holes.
