The road between Clitheroe and Whitewell bifurcates at the hamlet of Cow Ark. The right fork takes a higher level route offering truly stunning views of the Forest of Bowland and Whitewell. On the left of this road lies a variety of farm buildings, one of which is Middle Lees Farm. (There is also a Higher Lees Farm.)
The building still looks very much as it did when the photograph was taken.
